Generator wiring

Hi everyone! I need help! I got an old generator, it says Honda but I think it may be fake. Anyways, it has manual and electric start. I can start it manually, but not the electric way. It has a new battery, and when I was checking the wiring I noticed that a white wire coming from the flywheel (charging module) it is connected directly to the battery positive with the positive from the solenoide, both wires are together. I still can’t start it this way, but I don’t know how to wire it. (It has an oil sensor connected, but can’t fine any regulator o any fuse).


The problem is bigger than I expected. It is not like others I have seen before.


Red wire from on/off switch is connected to black from oil sensor and another black from coil.


Blue one is conected to oil sensor guess it is ground.



Tourquoise is connected to solenoid.

Black wire conected to key switch is connected to spade connector from solenoid.



In the pic, the white wire is connected to solenoid but originally, it was connected direct to battery positive.



I can’t find any voltage regulator conected to charging coil.

so it runs?
I would start by removing the wires from the solenoid.
put your battery to the starter pos cable & see if the starter works .
once you've determined that it works, check the solenoid for proper operation .
then see which wire is the exciter wire for the solenoid. see if the solenoid spins the starter . then work on wiring
