Hey guys, I did some searches and didn't find the answer, can you use an off brand slide jack on a bendpak?

If things go well, this Saturday i'll be picking up a bendpak hd7p.
It's about 9 months old home use.

I'd like to plan out the accessories, since it does not have any with it.

While i'd love to keep all the parts genuine bendpak, the slide jacks are extremely expensive.

On the greg smith site it appears there are atlas slide jacks that fit many different style lifts.

Any of these work for sure? I would love to save $600.

If you scroll down they show you the rail styles.

I know the one with the bottle jacks is inexpensive, but it looks pretty useless. (correct me if i'm wrong). I just can't see where that would help me on the front end.

Main vehicle worked on will be a foxbody mustang, in my home garage.
Thanks for any input,
Joe

As long as the width can be adjusted to fit the BP rails, I don't see why not. I looked at those when we bought our BP lift. My son wanted the BP RJ45 so he bought that instead.

I've been shopping for lifts and accessories as well, and where I can see the need to save $$$ during the purchase, I can't see scratching up nice paint/powdercoat with a sliding jack assembly but that's just me. I'm a neat freak but to each his own. Maybe you could install rollers on the unit from Smith?

Thanks for the response guys, after doing a whole lot of comparing pictures it would appear the only 2 that will fit that are aftermarket are the ones that are $700+.

The rj45 appears that it can be had for $999 shipped.

So the financial gap isn't as large as I thought. Not enough to justify an off brand.

When I thought it was $1200 vs $600, aftermarket made sense, just not at $700+shipping and $1000

jcar are you buying the one that was on CL in northern NJ? I looked at it, really nice lift. Wish it was the HD-9, would have bought it if it was.

Ya, that's probably the one.
I originally made an offer (one that IMO was fair to him and myself), and after i guess a bunch of tire kickers he accepted it.
So far seems like a pretty nice guy.

Hopefully it goes as planned and i'll have it next saturday.

FYI...I'm not going to list the exact price I paid for my RJ-45 last week from Garage Equipment Supply (I had to call them to get the best deal), but it beat the prices listed above.

So far, really great to work with.

Thanks,
When i'm ready i will give them a call.

I'm guessing if companies want to sell bendpak, they cannot advertise below fixed pricing. Seems all their products are just about the same price regardless of the seller.

Well, i bought the lift.
Pretty nice condition.
$1600, took about 2 hours to take it apart to bring it home, but it was a learning experience for us.
The ramp with the hydraulics was seriously heavy.

I also threw in another $100 to get the aluminum ramps he had that he was going to keep.

One miscalculation i made was that i could put it together before altering my garage door, no way in hell. I knew it couldn't take a car on it before i did the door, but i wasn't aware the posts were like 9 feel tall.
So i've have to put my high lift kit on the door before i put this thing back together.
