IMG_4882.jpegAny one have experience with the Genius ratchets? This one caught my eye because of the hard handle. I have some screwdrivers with the same handle and it’s comfortable and durable.

I’m also curious if it’s a quick detach?

I have a 1/4 drive version. It's ok, kind of sliced white bread. It's not quick release. It's your basic generic round head 72 tooth ratchet. Internally, you have toothed block with a heart shaped spring similar to other designs. The handle is similar to the snap on style but, of a different material. The genius handle isn't as tough as the snap on.

I have the 24" long version. The flex head is too floppy on mine.
It's pinned, so there's no screw to tighten to take up the slop.
It wasn't too bad when I first got it, but it's really floppy now.

I really can't think of any reason to buy a Genius ratchet given the other superior options at similar pricing: GW, Tekton, Capri.....
I guess that OP primarily wants a hard handle ratchet and doesn't want to pay SO pricing? Because that's all this seems to offer.
The only thing by Genius that I own is their set of long 0* DBE wrenches. And the reason is because they were one of the few offering them 5+ years ago. Since multiple brands offer the same thing today, including Capri, there's no way I'd buy them from Genius again, unless they had a killer price.
Will Genius survive more than a few more years given the competition?

Thanks for the input guys, I know nothing about them other than I have some of their screwdrivers that are decent and I like the handles. I will admit I’m a rather snob thou and already have about 10 nice ratchets between Snap-On and Nepros so I’ll probably end up with another Snap on for this role.

The non quick detach is a deal killer for me anyways.
