Any opinions on the said brand? Yay or nay? I see they are a vendor nevertheless don't know anyone who owns them to ask for an opinion. So what better platform the here. Thank you in advance for your opinions. Cheers.

I recently placed an order for 7 random sized 1/4 inch drive sockets to fill in some gaps in my set. They were priced very competitively, so I thought I would give them a try.

The sockets are not chrome plated. They are a matte silver finish. The stampings on them are not as "precise" as I have seen on other sockets. I have yet to use one, so I can't report on their performance. Overall, I guess I am satisfied.

As far as customer service goes, in my order of 7 sockets, there was one item not shipped and listed as back-ordered. Another item was shipped incorrectly. I ordered 5.5mm and they sent a 5mm. I sent an email to sales and did not get an immediate response. However, in a few days an envelope with the back-ordered item and the 5.5mm socket arrived in my mailbox. I guess I just get to keep the misshipped 5mm.

Those sockets look decent desertdog

The knurling looks like it's useful, rather than decorative. Personally I prefer the matte finish over smoother chrome...

The sockets are chrome plated, just not polished. Those don't look like coo USA to me though...

Genius is a high quality Taiwanese brand. I don't like their finish as well at TOPTUL's satin chrome but their stuff is perfectly fine.

i have a set of deepwell metric sockets 3/8 drive
they remind me of the ampro brand sockets sold at advance auto parts.

someone told me you can get the genius off the mac truck?
seen a few of their ratchets before. a roto head that looked like the regular run of the mill taiwan type roto head selector (hf kobalt husky) but had a red hard handle similar to a snap on. seemed like a decent ratchet.

I have some triple square bit sockets from them. They're fine, not the best fit and finish on some of the smaller sizes (a tad loose in the base socket) but they grab well. I'm happy with them, especially with the price.
