Has anyone here ever used anything Genius Tools before? I was going to buy some long impact sockets from my MAC dealer but he had a set of Genius for 99 bucks I'm hesitant on buying them since Ive never heard of them. They claim to have a lifetime warranty.

I know of people that love them but they're backyarders not pro wrenchers so.... Not sure how they stand up to every day use

Oh and their lifetime warrenty if you were to mail to the company is goofy. Every 5 years or so they change the design so the last generation is no longer warrentied from what I read. But I can't complain if if broke a socket. I paid $30 for a 3/8 shallow set 8-22mm.

I'd say most of those imports are coming from the same factory by the look of them.We have complete sets of Genius sockets in the service truck at work. Can't say I have any complaints about them.Haven't broke anything except the 3/8 ratchet and considering 6 different mechanics use the truck that's probably not the ratchets fault. Some of the guys are brutal on company owned gear.I believe Chad has been selling Genius on his Snappy truck for awhile now,he should be able to chime in on quality.

One of the best off the wall brands I've seen is Sunnex. They came out with that stuff in the 80's and most guys laughed at it because it was built in Japan (don't know where thy are made now) but they were as tough as any.

I also sell the Genius line as my import line next to my GP. If the tech does not want to pay for the US steel I have them as an alternative. They hold up great!
