Hello, my wife and I are new here, as well as soon to be new garage owners. We are in our 40s, and have a 24'x55' metal garage to be installed soon, and have been looking at all the wonderful ideas so far. Looking forward to joining the discussions.

KLM: you might want to put your location either city or state or both in your profile so you'll get better answers to your questions. sounds like you have a great garage plan ready to build. check out the garage gallery which you might have already and you'll find maybe all the information you need.

most of the guys will say to build as much of a garage shop as you can afford if you ask about size so be your own best judge on what size to build. also if you are planning on getting a lift in the garage i hear that some lifts need 12.2 foot tall ceilings.

any questions just ask.

welcome

Welcome

One of the best ways to search ideas is to go to google and put in garagejournal and then what ever your hunting. I then look at images and pic one it then usually directs you to a thread.

The search functions work here too. Just not as good IMO
