I may be late to the party with this but I came across some Craftsman pliers that are more than likely re-badge Knipex. Made in Germany on pkg and all the same stampings. Part# 45433

I have a pair of the 7 inch size. They are great go get some and you will be pleased with them.

With the last facebook/sywr coupon gimmick I upgraded the drawer with all Knipex so I really couldnt justify spending on these. The tag on the display hook said they were $29 for the pair so after 5 off coupon that isnt to shabby. I also see that I was correct and late to the party. Just been so disgusted with c-man lately that i havent wandered the aisles or lurked the website in a while.

Probably right with the warranty, but the Knipex were all less than free with the angles. Ended up with a few extra pair of duplicates as well so should be covered for a while. Plus the drawer needed the pop of the handle color.

What FB coupon gimmick? Too many parties going on, difficult to attend them all :)

The facebook coupon thing is over, but about 3 weeks back, Sears offered a $20 credit in points for a $20 purchase. Several people rolled these over a couple or more times. Sears caught onto that and changed it, but some got great deals on stuff they wanted for a bit. I did pick up my first Knipex pliers wrench in the deal for all of about $20 with the coupons going on. I have these Knipex rebadged as Craftsman Cobras too. For those wanting cheaper, Irwin makes a very similar version of Cobras that also work great for much lower cost. Maybe 90% of the goodness of the real Knipex. The Cobras and the Pliers Wrenches are the things I think are unique and special with Knipex. Other stuff I would buy in other cheaper US brands, like Channellock or Klein, but those are worth picking up in some fashion due to their uniqueness.

Go and check out the "Hot Deals" section of Garage Journal to learn about deals just as soon as they pop up. All the cool guys hang out in "hot deals"! - Paul
