Please tell me it isn't so. Not a garage guy with a *** change operation. :shocking:

:lol_hitti Just kidding. Just couldn't help it this morning :bounce: It is great to go back in time with pics just to see how things have transformed over the years

In the first pic, what is the tile outside? Is it a rough textured tile or concrete?

It looks like the building was extended since '92 and has blocked part of the entrance into your garage. Do you find that a big problem to park cars in there with the building in the way?

Yes, you're right! It's easy to park! With my Corvette i drive backwards to the left side and correct it. It's okay =)...

Welcome to GJ! Nice space & Vette! I miss Germany, I was at Lahr Air Base in 1982 and loved it! Went back in 1998 and rented a Harley and rode in three different countries. It seemed like a different country than it did in 82'.

This is a very nice space. I notice that there are no benches or tool cabinets visible. Do you have a different shop for them? How large is your garage? It seems like a tight fit with the house blocking half the door. Please post more photos!

Thank's! Six meter wide and seven meter long! That's a simple two car Garage. Yes we have another 2 floor shop in our Garden. In the next week we buy some cabinets for the walls. Tomorrow i will post more pictures =)

Nice garage! Where about in Franfurt am Main do you live? I was stationed at Rhein Main for four years and loved the area. My favorite memories are at the Batschkapp in Eschersheim. Or stopping at an imbiss stand while checking out the flea market on the south bank of the Rhein by the Alte Bruke.

Frankfurt? When I was in the army (U.S.) I worked out of the I.G.Farben building. I lived at Georg Speyer Str. A great city. Super people. I've been back many times and plan to visit again. All of Germany was a pleasant experience.

Thank's... it's German style! A lot of Germans have a paved yard. =)

its more of a european style, plenty of driveways done in the uk like this, we call it monobloc paving, think it originated from france iirc

its just a compacted sand base with the bricks placed on top, kiln dried sand is then poured on top of the brick then it is brushed into the gaps, then you go over the lot with a wacker plate(vibrating flat plated machine, no idea what you call it in the US) to compact the sand into the gaps and wala, your done.

loving your tiled floor

nice garage facelift! I'm wondering...why are you putting you Corvette (that's a rare blue color, FYI) on stands? Modern radials do not develope "flat" spots and the suspension does not like to be "sprung". I have never lifted a vette (or any other car) while storing them, some for up to 8 years. Just put 40-45 psi on the tires and you are good for short or long term sitting.

really? I always thought I should lift it. My tires are new. So you mean it's no problem?

Yes I have not seen a Vette with this Color =) Name of the Color "BMW Tobago Blue"

At one time in the States the dairies delivered milk to your home but you had to go to the store to buy beer. At the same time, in Germany, the breweries delivered beer to your home but you had to go to the store to get milk. That makes a lot of sense to me.

You're right. Since 1928 every wednesday the Licher brewery brings 2 cases of beer, water and lemonade to us =)
