You know Monte all I can tell is that on one of them it barely reads 'Made in Germany' and the rest is faded/worn out and on the other one, it is completely worn out. But what really got my attention is the part of the handle design! Considering that back in those days ergonomics really wasn't taken into too much consideration, especially for such a small tool. I was so fascinated with them that I purchased both! The owner had them listed under vintage tools and 'Made in Germany'. I tried them out and it's feel and handling is incrediable considering their age, but both are smooth and work very well indeed, just as they were designed and intended to!

Then no their aren't. I have this set, it's just the layout, no empty holes.

A little late in updating this as well. Just recently received from Ash two pair of long round nose pliers, one with the titan finish and the other with the chrome finish. As usual, excellent condition & amazingly quick shipping times.

Heyco to me seems like it's just not as good as the rest of the German brands. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I think it would dilute the line-up.

Marlin, believe it or not I have a set of the Heyco external torx sockets and they have held up great! I wouldn't hesitate to buy more sockets and stuff. The only thing I didn't like was the finish, wish the sockets were satin/matte finish. The finish is flawless though, I like it for what it is. I'd definitely buy more Heyco, someone in the old world thread said the Heyco Maxline and Hazet 600N's were his fav. I'd definitely consider buying more Heyco stuff...

Maybe it's just because I've only experienced Heyco in tool kits that come with BMWs, but the Heyco in those are terrible.
The Heyco Maxline combination wrenches are among the best ever, the problem of Heyco is the brand is not as well known as GEDORE, Hazet or Stahlwille.
Even here in Germany you get Heyco very rare/hardly in a store !

Have to agree with you there. They are very cheaply made for BMW on the standard trunk toolkit... However they do make a higher quality European Kit.

I like the polished finish, and the Heyco was nice stuff. Sold by Whia as well. I ordered some off Amazon but of the 2 etorx kits both were messed up. One had wrong sized in it, the other had two sockets of longer length than they were suppose to be. I ordered some of their sets with ratchets, but it was all older stock where the sockets were mixed (some had the rounded corners to drive the flank some didn't). The socket only sets seemed better and I didn't have any love for their ratchets. No locking extensions like Hazet or Wera. Heyco used to make a 3/8 in a 1/4 ratchet housing but couldn't find those anymore. They make most of the tools but not everything like their less expensive line under a different name.

Wow! Seems like the only appropriate response - placed an order Friday evening, Ash shipped it Saturday, it arrived today! Nice tool (Orbis multi-function plier), but I expected that - the customer service, however, is perhaps beyond exceptional!! Thanks Ash, very happy with the purchase.

Chad Is that a bit holder or a nut driver. Stupid to ask as I'm sure it is a bit holder but wasn't sure since you got precision nut drivers.
Ash does Felo make SAE nut drivers, nut spinners? I know they have metric.

How nice are the knipex vice grips
They feel really nice. I have only compared them to my Irwin Vice Grips. I have not used any of the Spanish made ones before, although I hear good things about them as well. The release when I first opened the package I thought was horrible after releasing it a few different times and understanding it I like a lot. I have some NWS ones coming in the same size from Ash as well. When I get those I am going to use them both and decide which to order more in as well as some other sizes. I will get better pictures of the release when I compare the two.

Is that the 810 or the 812? I have the 812 and it has a very strong magnet which sets at the base of the shaft which holds the bit. I believe the 810 only holds the bit in place with a retaining ring. The 812 is a couple bucks more, but I'd definitely recommend that one over the 810.
