I'm in the same boat as you; the only Gedore stuff I see at the flea/pawn shop is india stuff.... I just very rarely see German tools period! If I do it is typically, early Hazet wrenches that came in Mercedes or VW tool sets from their early cars...

I have 2 pliers from them and they`re really good... The pullers are top notch too (also avail. with a Hazet sticker on them...) , their "Habero" hammers are among the best along with "Picard" and "Peddinghaus" hammers and their "Dako" pipe tools are legendary... The standard wrench + socket range is less flashy than from the other german tool companies (can you say flashy and german tools in one sentence ?? :D ) but they`ll do the job... And most of the tools are still made over here, there was a similar TV-report in the TV like the Hazet movie where they showed how they make the pliers and test each with 10.000 volts, and the recoilless hammers, you saw how they cut the round plastic bars in short pieces and then how they are machined in a lathe , how the hammer head and shaft brazed together etc.... (very interesting) :D and everything what they did looked like high quality :D

here a socket a ratchet and a wrench for you: :D

Right,...Habero Hammers are the best worldwide! The patend with this 3 sleeve is perfect. The hammer will never brake.

Gedore is europe leading tool manufactor...('ve read somewhere), sometimes hard to get...

I have a 4mm torque wrench for an Anschutz target rifle. I bought it for my Anschutz 1913 free rifle. 1913 has nothing to do with the year and free has nothing to do with the price.

Yes. My father bought it sometime in the 80's. Made in West Germany.
Going to get a few replacement long allen wrenches from samstag sales in the US. As I can't find out who was OEM for the wrenches at the time.

The Stahlwille wrenches *appear* to not be as long as Hazet, but still look nice and have a good rep.

.

Those Stahlwilles are 13 series, which are standard length. Stahlwille also makes a long series of combination wrench called the 14 series. Those are the ones which I have. They are about the same lengths as the Hazet 600N. The Hazet 600N is an extra long combination wrench. The standard length Hazet are the 603 series. The 603 do not have flank drive, but the 600N do.

My 600N Hazets are brand new.
The 603 Hazets I have are new old stock from the 80's. Maybe the ones produced now are flank drive?

I can't believe all the flack that Gedore is getting.
I've never seen a made in India Gedore here in Taiwan. All I see are the German and Austrian Gedore, and it's all top-shelf stuff.
From what I've read, the made in India Gedore was intended for the Indian market only. It was never meant to be exported to anywhere. Apparently over in the US, that's all they're seeing. I'm sure that Gedore deeply regrets letting them put the Gedore name on the products that they produced in India as they are not up to Gedore quality standards. Their reputation seems to be fatally harmed in the US from all this.

I checked through, but didn't find much...

We see lots of tool pr0n for many US brands, but hardly for Hazet, Stahlwille, Gedore, and others. I'm starting my German tool collection and thumbing through the Hazet .pdf files, but those pictures surely don't do the stuff justice. The same applies to the Gedore and Stahlwille catalogs.

So how about some user pictures to add to the site's database?

Find a store that sells a bunch of it, nearly everything at ChadsToolbox is made in Germany. Get cozy with a place like that and their IT guys probably have all kinds of larger images that could be shared.
