Saw this on craigslist for $40 a few towns over, might be worth it if I could knock it down to $30 or $20. Anyone know anything about this Uniropa brand? I couldn't find anything online.

I’m not familiar with the brand, but the look and contruction of things makes me wonder if it’s an Asian import. Looks like a nice set though. Like M6er suggested, maybe the Old World thread would get someone who could tell you more.

Last night the curiosity got the better of me and I did a search, the only thing that I found was the same link that M6erfan came up with.

Don't get me wrong but just the metal box that it came in reminded me of the junk that they used to sell in the 1970's at the traveling tent tool shows; but then again it could be a very nice set of tools.

I think the best clue is the lack of tool History, which leads me to think they were not in business for very long. Would I buy that set sure but for a lot less money.

I think also it was made in Asia but who knows? if indeed it was made in Germany then you just might end up with a nice set of tools op.

The smaller ratchet sort of looks like some of the vintage Kamasa ratchets. My understanding, is those were made in Japan.
