I need to heat my New England garage so I'm not forced to work in multiple layers. I recently purchased a used double brick layered wood burning furnace. Now, I just need to find a way to vent the smoke. People are telling me to use insulated flue pipe as the cheapest means and If I want to cover it, I can encase it to look like its a chimney later on. What kind of codes am I looking at? How high does the smoke stack have to be above the ridge? Anyone have pictures of a similar setup?
