Sorry if I’m being a numpty, but the forum seems to log me off after a certain period of time. Sometimes, I’m taking a while to write up a reply or a post in word (to make sure my spelling is ok) or other times I’m just browsing around & I find that I’m logged off.

Is there a setting somewhere whereby I can control if I get logged off or not after a period of inactivity ??

Thanks for the reply

I’m familiar with the “keep me logged in” button from other forums I frequent. Thing is though, I don’t see one when I log into GJ, only the “remember me” button.

Apologies once agin, if I’m being really stupid here…… certainly possible ;)

Well my bad then, as on other forums I frequent the “remember me” box, is to remember my user name, so that it can auto populate on my return to the site. While also having a “keep me logged in” box so that the site will do just that. Keep me logged on until I log off.

As I said up thread in answer to tatra’s suggestion to check the little box that says “keep me logged in”, I could only see the “remember me” box, which to me, suggests a different purpose, but couldn't see the “keep me logged on” button.

So there ya go, I guess I’ll see if the “remember me” button keeps me logged on then

An extract from the Urban Dictionary…

a) "No. That wisnae wit she meant, ya big numpty!"

b) i.e. "Silly billy", "You big dafty"

c) "That numpty's driving with no lights on!”

Ok, that’s written phonetically in a Scottish accent.

A translation into “proper English” would be……..

“No. That was not what she meant, you big numpty!”
