The shop I just started at has a couple of Challenger 2 post hoists. It is a new shop, and for some reason they purchased a 15000lb and 18000 lb lift, but should have purchased a 15000 and maybe a 10 or 12000 instead. The ones they have are great for pickups, but there are lots of cars that don't fit without running them up on blocks because the arms are too thick. Even then sometimes the pads won't fit the jack points because the arm segments are a bit too long.

I've searched the web for adapters, but haven't been able to find much. Does anyone have any ideas?

In my buddy's shop, we just run lowered cars up on blocks. But that's only needed for lowered cars, it would get old if you had to do it to almost every car, that's for sure. Occasionally there's a car that needs an extra quarter inch or so, then a couple of guys will lift on the fender to get the pad where it needs to go.
