Getting ready to paint stripes

It's been 10 months since I moved into my house and my original time line has far been surpassed. Anyway, I've finally got the garage painted and now I'm ready to paint the second color and add the stripes.

I'm using a rotating laser level and simply placed it in the middle of the floor and took measurements from the floor to the line of the laser. By the garage doors I measured 39.5" and as I moved along the wall to the right, I measured 38".

My question is if the difference would be noticeable? My goal is to end up with an almost identical copy of T1704's garage.

I assume the difference is the slope of the floor toward the doors. So you have to decide if you want the stripe level, or parallel to the floor. That is a small enough amount that it probably won't be noticeable either way, but I'd pick level.

pick level and not follow the slab slope. When you install a shelf, work table, cabinets... those always go in level and you'll notice the difference if the stripe is sloping.

Because it looks good.

I'm going the same route. I went level and not parallel. I just need to add stripes, but I'm going with vinyl striping that I read from on here.
