Any one have any tricks on getting rid of cobwebs? I would like to paint the red metal white and need to clean it up a bit. In the pic you can see the cobweb covered wall.

extention pole with duster on top is what I had my guys use in the warehouse. if you don't have one, just get a long stick and a dollar store static dust mop taped to it...

I, too, recommend what the others have said, and get rid of the spider problem and the cobwebs will be gone.

Personally i just leave them be, spiders are hunting insects anyway. Im happy to have a police force of predatory insects that hunt destructive or annoying insects.

I put glue traps on both sides on the garage doors and I catch tons of spiders some that are so big my wife would freak if she ever encountered one.

My pest control guy uses a ."WEBSTER" a large (8", or so) ball shaped long bristle brush on an extension pole.

Garden hose with spray nozzle does not work. Tried that on the side of my house, those webs are strong!

I've found the best way is to let my wife and daughter handle it.
They do better than I ever could and the seem to enjoy cleaning.
No, they are not for hire.

Spiders are typically after moisture or wind currents to catch more insects. If you can eliminate either or both it will go a long way.

Thanks for the input, I'll give it a shot. The wind flow and moisture makes sense, I'm in the process of sealing up the shop. I just need to clean it up to paint it some in the attempt to brighten it up. I'm the second owner and when it was first built it was never properly "finished".
