Has anyone used Ghost Shield Eco Etch 1001? I purchased a polyurea coating kit from Garage Flooring LLC and they suggested I etch the floor (new concrete 6 months ago) prior to applying the coating. I ordered 3 gallons as recommended and followed the directions that came with it, but I see absolutely no difference, either visually or by touch. Seems like a waste of $125.00. Now I am afraid to apply the coating and waste another $1600 because it won't bond sufficiently.

I used it about two months ago on a brand-new slab. I was a little worried as you are, but it is holding up so far. I know time will tell. I will tell you that my final results with the process were disappointing, but it was a total user error. I have a 26 x 36 floor. I chose not to fill the expansion joints and was going to apply each area between the joints one at a time. I decided on the fly to use the recommended 100 sq ft at a time. Did I mention I was doing it solo? I ended up with some color variations, and in the end, I applied too much top coat, and you can see my dry roller marks in a few places. I wanted solid gray without flakes. Obviously with flakes, you don't have to worry about the color variations as much. The good news is, as it wears, according to GFLLC, it can be sanded and re-coated. Overall, It turned out just fine for me.
