I have a question about ghostshield densifier/ 8510. I originally wanted to do a coating in a color but unfortunately I couldn’t hold off filling up the garage. It would be unrealistic to pull everything out, grind down the floor and apply the coating. So I have settled on densifying and sealing the concrete for protection. The slab was poured over a year ago and it’s in great condition so I have that going for me.

Now the garage is pretty much full so my plan is to push everything to one side and applying the ghostshield to one par up to one of the relief cuts. Afterwards I will install the pallet racking I purchased and put most of the stuff up on them and work on the other side. I am wondering how long the pot life is on these products once the containers are open. I have about 850 ft^2 so I was going to purchase the 5 gallon container to save some money. Now it’s starting to get cold here in NJ so I would have to wait until there are days that fall within the temperature application range. This could take a while to complete so I want to make sure I don’t waste any product.
Thanks

We have the one gallons on sale for the holiday. Buy the one gallons instead of opening and then closing the 5. There is no 'pot life' really. It is a different issue. The unopened product will have a 12 month shelf life. Once you open it, that is substantially reduced. Especially since you really wont want to store open solvents inside.

One gallon of 4500 and 3 of the 8510. Dilute the 4500 3:1. Apply only what soaks in. Wait 7 days. Do a single flood coat of 8510 at 300 Sq. Ft. per gallon.

Hi, Ghostshield does not have a pot life since it is a single component product. Normal, if not longer, application times than even a latex paint.
