Ghostshield 8510 - so, a year later and any/all grease oil stains on my brand new treated slab- none of them wipe up. None.

Feel like I spent a ton of money and time reading endless threads on this product, but just not impressed by the result. Could have spent far less $$ with the same outcome if not a better outcome.

Some pics- have many more but this is the general idea on different areas of the slab where a mower is, a motorcycle etc.

This product was applied correctly after reading endless threads and details on application.

First and foremost if you PM me all your contact info we can get the manufacutrer involved.

Second, if oil is left to sit it will punch through. Their testing says over 7 days. Ours shows similar results.

Yeah, there was something dripping, and the drippings were left lay....

I poured my 8510 out on the floor and squeegeed it all around. I'm very pleased. Spills got-to quick wipe up. Sitting oils have stained it (think dirty chainsaw oil). Spilled BLO seemed to 'punch though' (vendor talk) pretty quick though. Whatever, it is my basement shop...

So the only true way to prevent staining of concrete is to just cover the concrete with a coating?

In our opinion a penetrating product will never 100% prevent discoloration of concrete. Topical treatments such as epoxy, polyaspartic, and sealers will prevent staining if applied properly and maintained.

How do people expect to let oil sit for ages on the floor and NOT hav it stain? If you drip oil on bare concrete you are screwed, it will soak in in the time it takes you to run and get degreaser and a paper towel and leave a permanent mark. Ghostshield gives you hours to days to wipe it up with no permanent marking. Hours to days. Not months to a year.

Ghostshield densifier and 8510 under RaceDeck freeflow. If I spill something, I pull up a couple of tiles and clean it up. Then again, I have a large backyard shed for all the lawn equipment and our daily drivers are always leased so they don't leak oil or any other fluid for that matter.

Well I would be more than happy with "hours to days", but myself & others have had a different experience.
