Who knows?
36" throat.

Not mine but I wish it was! Seems pretty cheap at $1,500.

Whoa. That's quite the machine. Too bad it's in NC. We don't get stuff like that up here in the soggy PNW very often.

You need that.

On the bright side, you can't go much bigger without a floor slot.

I always admire the "dinosaur rib" casting that makes those big bandsaws work. I think it was an Oliver that I saw up close and personal once with same capacity and marvelled over the heavy construction.

I think DoAll has a 50-60" throat but its either a 3 or 4 wheel saw....

That's a great deal, there is a guy on the local CL that has been asking a grand for just the C frame and lower pulley for a year or so.

cool saw. I bought a 36" Doall because it was half to one third the price of 20 and 18 inch doalls and I had the room:)

This might be the first time in my life I said I wish I was in North Carolina right now. Then it hit me I only have an 8 ft ceiling and am out of room.

Looks like an early Yates American 36" with a replacement motor through a coupler. The original saw was direct drive most likely and either the motor fried and couldn't be rewound or the voltage was incompatible. It could also be a factory gear reduction system for slow speed. That is one of the heaviest 36" saws made.
