Gregg, This is about what I found at Red Cross when I went to give blood, had nothing to do with them except for what I found in their garbage. But being you brought up the subject I did some looking on the matter. And this is what I found.. All blood is donated. In 1964 the goverment made it ilegal to sell ANY body parts, Most blood companys out there are non profit, which don't mean that they give their blood away, They cover their costs in getting it, testing it, and shipping it to the hospitals. The hospitals are the ones making bank on the blood. Back to selling your blood, People do sell their plasma, but that is not being transfused in the United States. Most all of it is sold to the makeup co. for like mascara. Any make up that has Coligin in it, is made from blood products. So yes your wife is wearing someones elses blood on her face.
