Shoot! John, you sent me a message about this recently, didn't you? I am afraid it got buried among my priorities.

Let me powwow with bmwpower on this.

We'll end up ******* someone off, but we'll decode what to do. With the other guy, some people were upset that we were going to far while others were pissed that we weren't going far enough.

This just *****, though. Gotta be dealt with.

Quattro,

send me your address in a pm. I have a Matco Catalog I can send you and if I don't, I'll get one.

Also, I got a PM from 06wt and there is more to the story. I won't elaborate, but I think he's good to go. In the end he did the right thing and gave me a reason why it went down. I have no reason to not believe what he told me.

That's very kind of you sir, but i don't want you to be out of pocket. Just have to see if the mods can get through to my guy.
I'm glad that 06wt came through in the end, hopefully CBradio has a good reason too...

Has anyone tried to contact CBradio directly? Odds say that a scam was pulled...but lets not jump to conclusions. He could have had a health issue, like a heart attack, or been in an auto accident. Those are just 2 things that come to mind that do not provide warning and will keep you from fulfilling an obligation such as this one. Whoever was his Secret Santa must have his personal contact info (name and address) and can try to look up his home telephone number. A phone call will go a long way in determining what happened here in my opinion.

Statistically speaking, there are bound to be problems as long as we're all human.

Remember last year when someone regifted part of the SK wrench set they received?

This does **** nonetheless.

You know I really try and take this as serious as I can. I spend the total amount if not more before paying for shipping, and if I'm still a few bucks under I'll throw in a few surprises and such.

It seems, and not just here, that people are generally cheap and lazy. I've found myself on the short end, even on white elephant like type gift exchanges. Last year I got a house shutter as a gift at work, go figure.

It seems like people just do the minimum if they can get away with it, IMO I wish it was more like a contest to see who can come up with the coolest gift idea, or just have a bunch of guys trying to out do each other each year.

Just my .02

i can only hope you dont feel that way about the gift you got this year :headscrat Sometimes its not easy knowing what to get someone you dont know you you do your best and hope they like it, afterall its the thought and effort that counts is it not?

for those of you not 'catching' sediment of my post, i was his secret santa. FWIW i didnt know what to get him and even included a gift receipt.

No I love my gift, used it today at work as a matter of fact, I'm just referring to the other problems with people not sending gifts or re-gifting an item.

I've been on the receiving end of not getting any beer on another board's Micro Brew secret Santa and it *****.

I've been lucky here on this board, I've gotten things that I have needed or wanted for some time, I'm just talking about the few bad apples, if you know what I mean.

and you are right, it's the thought that counts!

We need to remember that sometimes you get coal in your stocking for Christmas. It's all in how you look at it though.

you can see it as million year old dead critter debris, or a not quite ripe diamond.

He was on here most days through December and January, and his last login was 3rd February, so i'd say he skipped.
