Re: Gladiator 30" Wall Mount Cabinet $120 & Adjustable 6' Maple Workbench $250

I just went to schedule a ToolGuyd post about the deal and discovered the deal was live. Came here to post about it, but you beat me to the punch.

I reviewed the 4-foot bamboo version (http://toolguyd.com/gladiator-adjustable-height-workbench-review/), and really like it a lot. I would love to order one or two of the maple-topped benches at this price, but haven't any place to put them. =(

The welded wall cabinet was an expected deal, but the workbench was not. Incredibly good deal if you ask me.

Nice review on the bamboo version.

I never heard back from you on SD about your opinion on the DeWalt DCD780 wobble. Doesn't it seem more noticeable with longer bits?

Oh, I didn't see the Q there, sorry. I reviewed the DCD780 on ToolGuyd a while back (http://toolguyd.com/dewalt-20v-compact-cordless-drill-review-dcd780c2/) , and the issue of wobbling came up in comments. It wasn't until I focused on whether there was any wobbling that I noticed it. I haven't used this drill in quite some time, as there are a couple of drills I like better, but the slight wobbling was never a significant issue for me. Longer bits will typically multiply bit wobble, but the chuck was far from being sloppy. For some reason, the effect seemed more severe when longer screwdriving bits were tested vs. drill rod of the same length, but I was unscientifically comparing by eye.

I broke down and bought the bench & two cabinets. I guess I'll need to pick up some of the track when it goes on sale. I believe $119 might be the new $99 when it comes to these cabinets. I wish Home Depot would get the shelves in stock before their sale ends. I may just pick up some the Menard's Edsal shelving, but I'm not sure about the silver finish.

I just unpacked my workbench to put it together and it's missing all of the assembly hardware, plus some other stuff. Of the 12 items in their list of parts supplied, I received 4. Awesome. It does look like it will be a nice, heavy bench.
