Not worth the money. If you want to buy new. The HF 44" bottom at ~$350 is a much better deal IMHO. Otherwise I would prefer the used market. For $400 you can usually find a nice older friction truck brand box. :dunno: Just my 2¢

I have 2 of those that I use as my toolboxes that I bought used and to be honest not completely happy with them.. Other than the top drawer which is very shallow (I believe 1") the others are too deep for typical tool storage. A better alternative if you like Galdiator products would be the 41" rolling toolbox that I have seen (and almost bought) for $460 on sale- $485 right now at Sears. Look for "Gladiator" then "tool storage" on Sears website for better alternatives then you asked about. Hope that helps.

I like the depth of that box, front to back, but found the depth [height] of the drawers for my purposes almost unusable. I prefer more shallow drawers myself. The build quality in my opinion is still very nice...and if the drawer layout/arrangement suits your needs as well as the aesthetics of the box, I'd recommend one.

I have a gladiator 26" intermediate chest that I picked up on the cheap but honestly have been thinking of getting rid of it. It's got the depth I desired, but the drawers are not full extension...which renders such a shallow drawer almost unusable the last 4-5 inches.

I was just at Sears, and I looked at the Gladiator section. I wasn't impressed much. I do like the design of their 40" top/bottom, but they haven't figured out that a box like that should be at least 20" deep.
I'd look for better alternatives.

I have one and love it. It's got tools and manuals for everything in my garage. I added the maple work top and will roll it into areas where I need another flat surface.

I have a full gladiator garage and it includes 2 of these boxes. I like
Them and I cannot say that they are the best boxes in the world but I like them very much. Plenty of room for me and they look great. I would wait for a sale. Look on the gladiator garage works site or garage appeal and you can get these on sales. I also got free shipping.
See pic below.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply's. This box would be a secondary box to put random stuff that I don't want in my main tool box. I plan on putting this under a work bench I am going to build so didn't want a box any taller than this one. I see its also made in the USA. This box is the other box I was considering http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/CRAFTSMAN-Rolling-Tool-Storage-Cabinet-5MLW0?Pid=search. I can get it for about the same price as the Gladiator. Grainger list the craftsman one as made in the USA.

between those two obvious choice to pick the gladiator. The Craftsman max load rating is only 600lbs vs 1400lbs on the gladiator. the gladiator is 25" deep vs 18" on craftsman.

might depend on how deep the workbench you plan to build will be?

I've seen that same Craftsman box on sale at Sear's for $265. That Grainger price is nuts.
