Gladiator cabinets on special at Lowes

Some but not all models are 20% off the regular price. I ordered four of these for pickup tomorrow morning.

I like the open shelf on the bottom, handy for rechargable power tool batteries and keeping the work bench top free of clutter. I have four repair shop ignition parts cabinets mounted along another wall, so the lack of shelves and space in these won't be an issue. I plan to mount them on the wall above the Lista cabinets I will be getting soon. The new Lista workbench will be 10' in length, probably with a 36" deep butch block top. Thirty seems to be the normal, but there is a gas pipe and the tubing from the two outside A/C units running along the wall a foot or so off the floor. These will force the cabinets out several inches from the wall, so the 30" top would have a gap along the wall. Using the deeper top seems like the best way to get around this problem.

I saw that as well... I have some 10% coupons as well making it 30%........their toolboxes are 20% off as well..... 30% with the coupon.........

something else to consider... when you sell your home, these cabinets can come with you. If you build some cabinets, most-likely they'll be permanent and stay with the home. Why not take your investment with you? Just a consideration.

The Gladiator Premier series are much nicer than the Gladiator assemble yourself units. Lowe's can order them for you... I have a mixture of both and am not to crazy about the assembly units.

Good metal cabinets should last the lifetime of your garage... wood may end up sagging over time.
