Gladiator ever go on sale

I've been lurking around here and keeping my eyes and ears open hoping to find a sale on gladiator cabinets. I see Lowes had their wall cabinets on a clearance sale a good while ago and can only keep my fingers crossed for another similar sale.

My question is. is there a particular time of year that either Sears, Lowes, HD or an online source puts Gladiator garage gear on sale? Maybe something like the upcoming Memorial Day holiday or Father's Day or even Black Friday?

Sears has the 30" Premier cabinets on sale for $99 at least a few times a year. Premier versions of the wall cabinet are welded square, locks and have greater load capacity. Mounts easily with GearTracks (on sale) or directly to studs or mount a 1x4 horizontally along a wall for mounting cabinets with pre-drilled holes. With some special codes I have gotten them for even less. Critics will say one could build them for less but they won't be steel, tread plate, welded square nor as ready to install.

I would expect that Sears will have them on sale around Memorial Day. They are usually $99 - but you can use the $5 off $50 or add a small item and use the $10 off $100 and get free store pickup - so you can get the 30" welded cabinets for $90 - $95. I think the regular price is $169 or so.

If you have access to a Direct Buy membership, they have pretty good deals on a lot of Gladiator stuff.

They go on sale relatively frequently. I'd suggest you check out www.slickdeals.net and set a "deal alert" for Gladiator. People post deals from all over the place, and I guarantee, if a major retailer puts a piece of GGW on sale, it'll be posted there within hours. I also added a bunch of pieces I want to my Amazon cart, and just "save them for later" so they don't sit in the checkout area. If you check back daily, and go to your cart, it'll tell you what you've got in your cart that has changed prices since you last logged in. Pretty good way to watch specific pieces you're looking for.

Lots of people think GGW is overpriced, and to a large degree, I agree. However, I've paid full retail pricing for almost none of my pieces, except a few hooks I've picked up at Lowe's. Happy hunting!

They go on sale direct from Gladiator, but not often.
Be warned that the bolt together Gladiator cabinets you get at Sears and the home centers is nowhere near the cabinet that the welded ones are.

Last year the welded wall cabinets (30 x 30 x 12) were on sale one day only for $99 each. Order all you want and shipping was a flat $70 (not per piece, $70 for the lot). I ordered 10.
