Hey guys,

I have a Gladiator Geartrack in my garage and had bought an extra box of J and L hooks for the 2nd track.

I'm having a HELL of a time getting these J and L hooks to stay put in the track. I have been using one of the J hooks to hang my leaf blower, and every time I go to take the leaf blower off, the hook comes out of the track with it.

The bigger hooks that hold yard and power tools are great because they are wider and have two tabs on the bottom to stay secure, but these single tab hooks seem to be pretty unusable in my situation.

Does anyone have any tricks on how to keep these secure? Any help would be greatly appreciated it. Thanks!

Same here, I bought little black screws at Lowes to screw them down into the geartrack. I even screw down the larger double hooks as well. Works great

Thanks for the info here Viper. I was thinking the same thing here but didn't want to start drilling if there was a different method.

I'll work on that today and see if that solves my issue here.

Much appreciated for the help everyone.

I've had some success bending the small upper tab outwards a bit to lock them tighter. They will still move around if they get bumped, but for my application this was good enough.

I've had a bunch of them in use for quite a few years now and they've been fine. I even have some gapped out wide to hold prybars and they are holding up. I bought most of mine when lowes/sears clearanced them down to pretty much nothing.
