I'm hanging a couple 30" cabinets above my Gladiator workbench and don't want the GearTrack to extend so far outside each cabinet - to the right and left. I was wondering if I could cut off 6-8" on each side so there wouldn't be as much exposed - maybe a 1" reveal or possibly conceal behind the cabinets.
If I do this, it will mean that the end of the track will not be in a stud - with the nearest stud 6-8" away.
The amount of weight is just the 2 cabinets, so don't believe there is any concern about load.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this?
