Gladiator ideas?

I'm pretty well invested into the Gladiator lineup, but I'm at a sort of standstill due to the lack of small tool hangers. What have some of you done? The one that really irks me is the lack of a hook for pliers... I emailed Gladiator through their website and the answer they sent back was:

"Thank you for your feedback. Currently most consumers use either a J hook to hang their pliers slightly open (one handle on each side of the hook)... or a Loop Hook by putting one handle of the pliers through both loops. "

The loop hook is a dual loop for hanging screwdrivers... it looks stupid with one handle of the pliers through the loops... any ideas? I might just cut out a section of GearWall panels over the workbench and install some pegboard.

I have gladiator geartrack all over my garage, except for over my workbenches for this very reason. Good for hanging big things, not so good for small things like pliers and screwdrivers. Went with pegboard like you were thinking.

Does it have to be a peg board all the way. I have metal peg board that also has slots for various types of support options but you could also get long strips of magnets and support tools that have odd handles.
I have only a few tools (screw drivers and pry bars) on my board and keep most of the tools in the drawers since I did not want to have all the tools out in the open and have a cleaner look.

Where did you find the metal stuff here? I like the versatility of those panels with the holes and slots but I haven't seen them locally and shipping kills it for me. I bought a small piece of of peg board at home depot the other day to hang on the gear wall using leftover cabinet mounting brackets, but I haven't hung it up yet.

Anybody have pics of what they did mixing gladiator and peg board?

home depot's equivalent system has these plastic brackets that work with gladiator's tracks and wall panels. I would get those and mount the magnetic rail from HFT. your total cost will be under $20 and you can then throw your pliers on the magnetic rail.
