Looks like most Gladiator is 30% off at Home Depot online until 12/10/13. 4 shelf rack is $140, add that to the workbench and wall cabinets Sears has on sale and you can have a sweet setup.

Looks like the shelving is already sold out. WTF? I wonder if it will be back in stock during the sale. Menard's has the same shelving for the same price, plus a 40$ rebate, but it isn't the Gladiator flavor.

I called Home Depot today to ask about this as I want to buy a few Gladiator cabinets that are listed as being out of stock They told me they set up the sale based on an order they made from Gladiator in which all of the products were supposed to come in by November 15th. They said it looks like some of the items didn't get delivered to them and they couldn't give me an expected date of when they are supposed to come in.

I called homedepot and walked in to see if I could still order/pay wait for them on backorder. No luck on either attempt. Went to my local sears store, showed them the website and how it item on the HD site was ship to store. They price matched it. Picked up two "large gear boxes" for $202 each, reg. price at Sears and HD $289.

They nice lady at the HD service desk said try the other stores they should price match...so I did.

I might try that for some of the Gladiator shelving. I bought two of the same Edsal shelving at Menards during their three day Thanksgiving sale for 99 bucks after rebate, but it might be nice to have appearance coordinated stuff, if you're into that kinda thing. I bought a Gladiator workbench and two of their 30" wall cabinets during Sears holiday sale. The Menard's version of this shelving is silver.

Lowes matched the Home Depot ad for me. I did not get the extra 10% off since the item was not in stock.

The Gladiator shelving mysteriously became available online today. I suspect the same would apply to a lot of the other items that were unavailable during their "sale".

Based upon that, I would categorize their explanation for the unavailability as various forms of barnyard excrement.

The gladiator shelving 139.99 allows you to add to cart, but then tells you it is not longer available on line. So much for ruling the world. :)

Now you can't even add it to the cart. Nice. Maybe I should have tried buying it as soon as I saw it instead of posting the sale info.

That kinda *****. Maybe they'll have 2-3 more of the shelving units available at this price after Christmas. Get them while they are hot.

On the Gladiator Shelving I was lucky to add 2 to my cart on Black Friday and picked them up last week. I saw that HD still had them for $139 so I wanted to purchase 2 more. Like you guys, you can add to cart but will not let you purchase. I called HD and they stated they were out of Stock. :(

I believe the same shelving is available under different brand names, with different finishes. I was kinda wanting to get some of the Gladiator shelving so it would match the other stuff I bought for my garage. I bought two sets of shelving from Menard's over Thanksgiving. After rebates, it was 99 bucks per unit. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing with a different finish. Home Depot has the same unit under the Husky brand. Other than the finish, I'm not sure there are any material differences. All of the units are essentially the same dimensions with the same weight ratings. There are also three shelf variants, and extra shelves can be purchased separately. I think it's all manufactured by Edsal, but I could be mistaken.

Have you assembled the Gladiator shelving? In the pictures, it looks like Gladiator units have 3-4 cross supports per shelf, which would differ from the other units I've seen, which usually have one support in the middle.

Did the packaging say Manufactured by Edsal, or make any reference to Edsal?

You can buy cross supports at Lowes and as for the finish, I plan on painting my Menards silver racks with truck bed paint to match my other edsal shelves.:rocker:
