I truly love my welded 30” Gladiator wall cabinets and maximizing their volumetric efficiency is an ongoing pursuit. Thought I’d share a couple of photos. In one picture you can see that flipping them upside down works just fine with only a slight offset in shelf positioning as a consequence and that hasn’t effected me. The shallow 12” depth keeps me from having to dig through the cabinets and also has the shelves positioned outside the garage door defined opening. The other picture shows a cabinet with bin racks attached to the doors and a small parts bin and another bin rack in the cabinet. This configuration really consolidated what had taken up much more space - very happy with results.
Sears used to put these on sale for $100 each on a couple of major holidays each year. That price made a big difference for me and I effectively “traded” an underutilized shear and slip roll for 15 of these.
Cheers!

The bin racks are a great idea. Looks like you used sheet metal screws through the inside lip of the doors - is that right?

I used rivet nuts placed into the center section sheet metal of the door and onto some outboard brackets. My approach was driven by the materials I had on hand. Gladiator or someone should market some bin brackets as accessories.

Nice addition to shop or garage organization. Looking forward to adding the bins to the doors this weekend. Instead of flipping the cabinet upside down I flipped the doors after mounting the cabinet to the wall. This puts the bottom cabinet door handles in a better ergonomic position when stacking these cabinets on the wall.

I’d like to see how it works out for you. I can’t go 3 wide with bins on the right door without door interference when closing. The organizer on the inside was sized to fit two wide but I didn’t need two in the end. I can send the model number if you want it.

One thing to watch out for is interference with the magnet strips on tops and bottom. You can see some spots where I cut out bits of the strip to allow for fastener heads so the doors closed.

Rivets are a good alternative to rivnuts too. And lower profile heads...

Looks like the OH door return is short-enough to make the 12" deep Whirlpool/Gladiator boxes a good fit.

I prefer the Gladiator Premier welded cabinets to the Gladiator RTA cabinets (***'y required).

I used the 60" W X 24" D X 72" H Gladiator wire shelves (three of 'em) down one sidewall of my 2-car garage, but I didn't have a full 24" return to use that shelf depth. I ended cutting-down the end brackets to a nominal 14" depth, which allows the shelves to be shorter than where the OH door tracks are (essentially, the depth of the return). I was planning to have a friend weld the end brackets and shelf brackets back together, but I was able to use machine screws to put them together. For the shelf supports I also used machine screws and bolts to shorten them. Once I had it figured it out on the first shelf unit, the others went together more-quickly. I used the wire rack shelving material to determine what the depth was going to be.

I have five of the 30" X 30" X12" wall cabinets. I screwed those to the wall with tapcons as the wall is CBS. I used a ledger board beneath the cabinets, it made hanging them much-easier, and also is structural support, though the tapcons are capable of supporting whatever fits inside.

The 'inside & on the door' storage is of minimal use to me, as it interferes with the shelved stuff I keep inside, though I do use some of the storage for small plastic bags, or paper sleeves of items like HFT Velcro strips.
