So I took advantage of the 50% off sale going on over at www.gladiatorgarageworks.com.

I needed a couple more of the 28x28 inch wall cabinets that we have all come to know and love! I bought 8 of the closeout wall cabs at Lowes back in 2009, but the layout I have finally settled on needed 2 more cabinets.

Well not really, I could have used what I had, but oh well!

I just wanted to cover the differences between the original S1 cabinet and the new K1 that is being sold now.

Overall, they are pretty much the same. Finishes are the same, assembly is pretty much the same. Some things are improved and some are just different:

The edges of all the panels are now about an inch shallower. Much easier to assemble for a guy like me.

Doors now can be installed after inserting the outer most screws. Much easier now.

Otherwise they are pretty much the same with the exception of the threaded holes for the back and door screws. They are MUCH easier to strip out, but they are much easier to get started.

On the original cabinets, they were quite difficult to get started without stripping the tip of the sheet metal screws. I had to tap a few to get a new bolt in there so it would tighten up, but you could get them very tight. Now they are easy to start and tighten, but it is easy to over do it and ruin the threads.

Do I need to change some settings? I'm new here but I seem to have to scroll side to side in order to get a lot of the uploaded photos in view. These ones here are huge.
