Hello everyone!
Long time listener, first time caller... My wife actually found this forum and a lot of great ideas. We thought we would share our garage as we transform it into a functional CLEAN space.
We have lived here for 2 years and have been fixing the issues as they pop up. I took a 2 week vacation to finish up some of the many projects we have started. The first step was to organize the garage and get all of my tools back to where they belong.
My wife got home from work to find that I spent the whole day "cleaning" the garage and it looked about the same as when I started. She walked into the house and came out about an hour later to ask what I thought of some garage shelving she found online.
That's when this time to get other projects done sidetracked (as we do with EVERY project) into creating an awesome garage.
Just to make this clear:
SHE wanted to remodel the Garage
SHE wanted to get all new shelving
SHE wanted to redo the flooring
She's a keeper!
Since we are doing all of this, I am also removing the popcorn ceiling, redoing the lighting and expanding the the electrical from ONE outlet at the back of the garage to strategically placed outlets. I also need to finish the water softener that I prepped for LAST YEAR!
We will post a thread on our progress as we move through this. I have attached a before picture that shows what we started with. Today we bought a 20ft Conex box to move everything out and only bring back in what we need. Thank you to all of you for the inspiration and ideas!
