Gloves for roofing heat?

My teenager is doing HVAC and working on the roof at times. He is finding the roof shingles to be too hot.

I don't know much about that besides the welding gloves that I use. Is there a suggested glove type for that?

Thanks.

Welding gloves honestly seem like they might be a good choice.
Most other work gloves I know of that are insulated aren’t really designed well for material like roofing that is inherently abrasive.
There are Kevlar work hloves made for handling sharp materials, or really hot materials, but I’m not really sure that in use they would work better than leather welding gloves.

Best thing is to get up there before it gets too hot to handle. If the shingles are that hot, odds are they are also easily damaged by walking on them.

Hopefully he is smart and not working alone.
