I like Ringer's. I' hate the Craftsman brand. Went through the palm of those in no time yet the Ringer's are still going strong. I have not used the Mechanix brand. (And please no jokes about the palm of which hand).

I've had good luck with Federated auto parts work gloves. I was surprised for only $5.99 pr. I wear them daily and wash them weekly and get about a month out of them.

+1 for the blue hf gloves. They are deff cheep and it doesn't take long for the seams to start ripping. By that point I have gotten them covered in grime n just move on to the next set.

My Ringers held up great. Just bought a second pair. Haven't worn them as much, but my Snap-on tech gloves are very comfortable. Mechanix are fine if you don't mind replacing every three weeks, or so. The Craftsman ones with the doubled up finger tips held up ok. For $10 a pair on sale I was happy.

During hot days, I wear something like these from Cornwell. Get a couple weeks out of a pair if I'm not doing anything I shouldn't with them. Just day-to-day auto work.

Edit,

Here is a picture of mine from when I went on a buying spree back in February. Just now about wore all them out. Besides the Snap-on carbon ones. Which are my motorcycle gloves.

I've had a couple pairs of the Mechanix impact gloves. Still have the pair I wasted 35 bucks on the Cornwell truck for in the bottom drawer of my cart. I wore through the fingers in a couple weeks of not even wearing them all the time. When I say wasted, I do mean wasted. If you're beating your hands up enough to need them, change your methods. If you're looking to keep your hands clean, buy nitriles. I won't waste the money on any work gloves that aren't made of leather anymore. The old thermafit type gloves work in a lot of situations too.

I'm sticking with Mechanix M-Pact.

I had a pair of their regular ones only last 3 weeks of daily use in Iraq.

Nomex aviator gloves (Government Issue you can find them at surplus stores) lasted 2 weeks. Had some Oakley's (expensive @ $70 iirc) that didn't fit my sausage fingers so I gave those away.

Mechanix M-Pact lasted the rest of the deployment, with only one finger needing some 100mph tape. Still use them when I go to the range.

I used to use mechanix gloves, but I can wear the originals out in the day or two. Now I go to tjmaxx and buy clearance batting gloves. They seem to last longer and they're less expensive.

My favorite work gloves are the Atlas nitrile coated gloves. Don't have a link but you could do a web search. Very tough but still thin and stretchy so you can still use your fingertips. Palm side and fingers are nitrile coated so if you get greasy you can just wipe them off. Only negative is the top side is a normal stretchy fabric so if you get the top greasy it will get absorbed into the glove and make a mess on your hands until you throw the gloves in the washing machine. I use a single pair for months

I've tried many gloves, I like the Mechanix gloves, but they last about a week with heavy use (metalwork, welding, cutting, general abuse). I found the Mechanix Fabricator gloves - all leather, Kevlar stitching. Have lasted about 4 months now.

I have pair of snap-on HD gloves and snap-on impact gloves forget to wear em most of the time but they are good if you get a BOGO offer. I like the HD gloves the best.
