Glue for insulation fabric

What type of glue should I use to adhere the insulation fabric to the stud face before blowing in the wall insulation?

I won't promise it's "right", but I used white school glue, thinned with water at about a 2:1 ratio (2 parts glue, 1 part water).

How did it hold after the insulation was blown in? I assume you applied after the fabric was stapled up?

Yes, I stapled the fabric, then rolled the thinned out glue with a paint roller. Then I blew in the insulation. It held.
