Every year, when I put in my window air conditioners, I have to find ways of sealing the accordion side panels to the window. I have tried double sided tape, electrical tape, duct tape, caulking & foam rubber strips. They all vary in effectiveness and annoyance when it come to removal. I am not concern with air leak. Bugs leak is the problem.

I have seen dabs of clear goo/rubber/gel used in the mail for attaching credit cards to the letter. They stick very well. They comes off very clean. That would be ideal for what I need at the window. I have used caulking but they are hard to come off.

So, what are those goo/rubber/gel stuff and where can I get some?

That is my problem. All the stuff I used is a ***** to remove. Even electrical tape leaves a residue that eventually attracts dust and turns grey on the white window frame. All of them deals well. I need something removable without having to take out my can of solvent.

The closest I have found to the credit card type sticky stuff is Joes Sticky Stuff.

I have a roll and it’s about a similar as one could get. I have used it for a few things such as keeping a router on a desk and holding some speakera down. There are some reviews on Duluth trading and a few others place if you look. This probably would be ideal for holding the accordion in place, but without trying don’t know how it would hold up to heat and sun.

I've used low expansion foam in a can that seemed to be less messy than Great Stuff. You might want to buy a can and do some experimenting.
