GM Heater Tube Coupler Removal Tool - SOLD
***SOLD***
This GM heater tube coupler removal tool is used to remove the broken off piece of the coupler outlet in the intake manifold used on GM trucks and vans. Just lightly tap the tool into the broken piece and turn it out counter-clockwise with a 5/8" socket. The early outlets were made of an aluminum alloy (pot metal) and corroded badly and ended up breaking off. The later ones made of steel were the replacement.
This is actually just a big fluted "easy out" made to back out the broken piece while being turned counter-clockwise.
Even with the right tool this was not an easy job. Sometimes you had to make "cuts" with an air saw or hack saw blade to get this to bite enough to make it work. Soaking it with a penetrant oil (PB Blaster) also helped.
Tools is used but still works as it should.
No markings other than "Warning Wear Eye Protection" and "Pat Pend USA".
I believe this was sold by Lisle and is #62200
I will also include the replacement steel outlet coupler sold by GM dealers.
$15.00 shipped to the lower 48. Will also combine shipping with my other tools listed here on GJ.
Paypal preferred or U.S.P.S. MO.
Thanks for looking, Mark
PS. I have a 1/2"x14 BSPF (British Standard Pipe) tap I used for cleaning out the threads in the manifold also. If your interested in it let me know.
