GMF 6" Grinder Capacitor Help

I'm currently restoring a GMF 6" Grinder. I plugged it in and it's not running therefore I'm assuming it's the start capacitor because the motor coils look fine and the switch works normally (I've tested with a multimeter). It looks like someone has replaced the start capacitor before and the ratings are all faded. I'm wondering if anyone else with a GMF 6" Grinder can help me out and give me the ratings for the start capacitor. My last resort would be to take it to a motor rewinder but just thought I'd give this forum a shot first.

Value not critical, as the cap’s sole purpose is to produce a phase shift in the start winding. If too large the inrush current may pop a breaker, and too small will limit the starting torque. Being a small grinder you don’t need much torque, so try a smallish cap around 50-100 uF. I would try anything I had handy, and monitor the inrush current with my multimeter. If the grinder starts ok and the inrush is acceptable, you’re good to go.

I realise this is an old post but I’ve recently come across this thread and can help.
I have a few of these gmf grinders including a 7 inch version of the one you have. They came with a 4 micro farad capacitor so either a 3,4 or 5 micro farad would be fine.
Great machines they are too.
