Go 2 socket for bolt extraction

Hard to believe that a set screw is going to grab enough to loosen a bolt that's already been rounded off.

There's a place for the old 3 roller stud removers too... can't remember who originated those? I know I have one, it's a German brand, but it's escaping me at the moment.
I would take either a turbo socket or a stud extractor over this new tool. I can't imagine that it would work better than either.

Don't think so, they make their own. I do know that SK warranties their relabeled Turbosockets, have warrantied two with them in the past year or two. I use the HELL out of them up here due to salt....it usually snaps the bolt if it does not get the nut off.

If there's room to use this contraption, there's room to use Irwin bolt outs or even vice grips.

Those GO2 look similar in design to the most mechanical nut splitter so you might be surpised. Idk tho...
My go to's are irwin bolt outs and Turbosockets. I really like and think the best deal is the HF version thats a cross between both...CrMO comes in 3/8 dr met and std sets.
... but I've also used the Gator sockets, and newer craftsman ones with success as well. each situation really could call for a different type.

I got one. It's ADDED to (not REPLACED) my arsenal of Turbo Sockets, easy outs, Grip Rites.....
I used it once. Had to crank on set screw with Vise Grips to get it to hold. It worked. But nothing a Turbo Socket wouldn't of done.
One ad said 'it's the only socket you will ever need'. If you believe that, you need to turn in your man card.

Think the Irwins are similar but their made in Taiwan whereas the turbosockets are USA Made. Nonetheless, I have both and they work great.

They are Mac Precision torque now. And yes they are awesome about one of the only good things Mac offers they are imports made by another company but seemingly many varieties are exclusive to just them.
They do more % rounded than the Matco pro non slip, those are also good but not as rounded ready as the Mac Precision torque. The Mac are up to 85% the Matco 70%
Of course your tool truck may vary on availability. Not that many Mac trucks out there in lots of areas.

Just a POS gimmick tool,can't use it in certain spot.I will stick with my twist sockets that have saved me time several times.

I had a bad experience earlier this year with a seized bolt on one of my skid plates under my Tacoma. The skid plate under the front differential has these inverse U-shaped brackets for the front two bolts which make it really had to deal with the bolts if they get rusted in place. Add to that that fact that Toyota used those hollow head bolts that round off easily and let me tell you it was a real learning experience. I tried multiple types of bolt extractors (turbosockets etc.) and none of them could get a good grip on the mushroomed bolt head. In the end I just drilled out the bolt head to get the skid plate loose and one day I'll drill out the rest of the bolt.
