Go to adjust old style compressor

Hey guys as you know I bought an old compressor and I just bought a regulator with a guage well it only goes to 80 psi how do I get more?

If the compressor is shutting off when the tank pressure reaches 80, you need to adjust the pressure switch. Unplug it, then remove the gray plastic cover. There should be a sticker on the inside of the cover with directions to adjust the shut off pressure. Depending on the switch, you may also be able to adjust the range between turning on and shutting off.

Are you sure the gauge is accurate?

What is the safety rating (psi) for the tank (should be a plate on the tank someplace)?
