Windows XP, IE6.
When clicking on the "go to first new post" icon, it goes to the appropriate page and appears to load the page completely. However, the status bar still indicates that the page is loading(ex. "opening http://www.garagejunkies.net/showthread.php?p=1266#post1266"), and the little windows flag waves. This continues for 20-30 seconds, even though nothing appears to actually be loading (the entire page is already visible). After 20-30 seconds, the flag stops waving, the status bar goes blank, and the page scrolls to center on the first new message.
The problem is that by the time 20-30 seconds have elapsed, I've had time to read some replies and scroll down. So when it finishes "opening", the whole page moves on you to go and center on the first new post, know what I mean?
When you click the "first new post" icon and the thread opens, you don't really notice that the browser thinks the page is still opening because it APPEARS completely loaded. Very frustrating, the "first new post" is a great feature. It took me a few tries to figure out how to replicate the problem.
Am I the only one with this issue? I don't want to sound like I'm complaining- just exposing a problem! Thanks for a great forum...
