Maybe this is just how the board's meant to work, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Here's the issue: If I load the main index, then click any subforum, all the threads with new posts since my last visit are bold and have the blue "Go to first unread post" button. If I then hit the 'back' button back to the main index, then open that same subforum again, all the unread post info is lost; the forum assumes I have read all the threads with new posts even if I didn't click a single one of them.
Similarly, if I spend a lot of time in one subforum, then go back to the index and into another subforum, all the unread post info is lost, even though it's my first visit to that subforum for that session - is it on a timeout setting? If so is that a per-user setting or site-wide? I have looked through the CP many times and can't find anything that seems related.
"Unread posts" are unread until they've been, well, read. However long that takes, even if it's 'never'. Having them all reset after a set time or just by opening a subforum is making it a pain to keep track of things!
