Taking a weekend getaway to Kansas City for our 10th anniversary.
Plan to check out Harry J Epsteins while I'm in town.
Anyone been there in person? If its half as cool as it looks online, we'd better take my truck.
Any other good places for tool guys in the K.C. Area?

Congrats on the 10th!! Enjoy your weekend and treat your lovely bride like a queen.

As far as HJE goes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you will not be disappointed. You will have a tool woodie the whole time you are there. Afterwards, your wife will have something to enjoy also:p

Its well worth the trip to Epstein's. Park in the store's parking lot behind the store to avoid meters. Have dinner across the street at the jazz cafe.

I would recommend you look online and make a list of things you know you want before heading in. If I don't, I always forget something.

This. I stopped in this summer while on my way out west. You can browse, but it's not your typical retail store. With a list you can be sure you'll get some things that you may have otherwise missed.

That's something I hope to do as well someday, a road trip to Epstein's. I always wondered, is it set up more like a warehouse with areas you cannot browse through, or is the whole place open to the public?
