I have a 24x42 garage with 10' ceiling that I had built about 15 years ago. Its a finished garage with bathroom and heat and central air. I have been wanting a lift for a long time. I was going to have a pole barn garage built with 12' ceiling about 23x36. It was going to run $6300 set up on my level surface. Amy way long story short I figure by the time I pour concrete and electric and so on id have 10k in it easy. I cant afford that right now. Plus I have a nice garage now. Anyway I am leaning toward the Maxjax and they are on sale right now. My question is when they built my garage they poured a fiber pour concrete. Its a 4 inch pour but no rebar. Will this be good enough for the Maxjax or an I going to have to cut the floor out and pour a deeper plug with rebar?

You should go to the Danmar maxjax site and read the requirements. You will be responsible for proper installation. People will respond here but ultimately you need to install it as the manufacturer requires.

Suggest you drill some pilot holes to determine the actual depth of your concrete floor at the desired post locations. As we have seen here a few times the concrete floor depth varies.

Google - Maxjax installation manual. It is 31 pages of detail installation instructions.

Do any of you guys have any threads where you had to cut your floor out to make it deeper and rebar for your maxjax?

A 10k base plate lift from Greg Smith Equipment only requires 4" of concrete. Unless you have to be mobile, the Greg Smith Atlas lifts are a much better option. The max Jax only goes so high and I believe it only has 3 positions for the safety locks.
