Wow, its been a while since I updated.

http://www.carriagedoor.com/ is the company that made it. Its a 16x10 paint grade wood door.

Ok so a bit of an update (long overdue).

The finish electrical is done. Nothing too extreme, but a lot of 3 and 4 way switches. I still need to get the Smoke detectors and hook them up, and the under counter plugs and lights in the kitchen but I need cabinets for that. Other than that electrical is done.

Subpanel all wired up.

Vintage pineapple light. I rewired it, painted it silver and hung it in the master closet. Its my wife's favorite fixture.

Her second favorite fixture in the Laundry room.

Living room. The frame on the hearth is for building the brick front of the fireplace.

Up a coulpe stairs to the dining room/hall area.

Front door.

Living room towards the office and alcove area.

Other than the glass doors, this is the only square top wood door in the place. Its a pocket door.

What is a custom house without a pink room? Each of the kids bedrooms has its own sink. Its a Jack & Jill bathroom (think Brady bunch), but to avoid congestion in the morning, we put the sinks in the bedrooms.

Top of the stairs. Pineapples (lights) are a subtle theme of the house.


Which brings me to what im currently working on. All of the floors upstairs will be tile (with area rugs for noise/comfort)

We have 2 bathrooms upstairs. Both are Jack & Jill.

Both have this unique shaped tile.

One of the bedrooms. It still needs to be grouted. Since we aren't doing any trim (full wrap on the windows and door jambs) and no base boards, the grout line at teh walls becomes a precision cut for the perimeter of the room. For a novice like me its a pain, but its a look that we like.

If you have ever laid satillo tiles, then you can understand why Im actually pleased with how strait it came out.
