Online I have come across some Goldblatt pliers. From the pictures, they look pretty good. I have done some searches on here and can't really find anything on them. Does anyone have any to report on? How are they and where are they made? They are probably not any better than my Channellocks, but they look interesting.

I don't know about pliers, but I know of Goldblatt masonry tools. They were located in Kansas City but I'm not sure if they are still there.

I figured they were either made in China or Taiwan, otherwise the COO would be posted everywhere.

They were a USA company. A lot of USA based masonry companies are selling Chinese or Taiwan made tools. Nobody wants to pay for solid hickory handles and American forged steel tools. They want cheap wood or fiberglass and stamped **** metal for 1/4 the price.

I looked up the company website. It looks like the company or at least the name has been around since 1885. I will probably stay with Craftsman and Channellock, but the Goldblatt pliers look interesting.

I've never used hand tools from Goldblatt, but I have their drywall vacuum sander attachment and I'm looking to purchase their large taping knife.

Good stuff for the money, though I'm sure there are better options out there for hand tools.

Goldblatt was bought by Stanley over 20 years ago.
More Chinese made Junk from what was once a solid U.S. Company. I would not have much hope for Stanley making Craftsman in the USA .
