Background: My wife and I have a lakehouse about 2 hours away. It is in a gated community, and many folks have golf carts to drive to the beach and take for a sunset cruise. We don't have a garage at the lakehouse (yet), so i always kept the old golf cart outside. I just recently upgraded to a new cart, but I am not ready to pull the trigger on my dream garage just yet. So I went the shed route.
I thought about building it from scratch (I have built a couple sheds in the past) but I wanted to get it done ASAP, and don't have enough time to get it done before winter. Just doing the site prep was going to chew up my only free weekend. Also, if you pour a slab the county counts that footage as garage space for you tax bill, if it is on skids, you pay nothing extra.
I was driving by one of those roadside outlet centers that sells sheds and swing sets, and saw one I really liked. End of the season is definately the right time to buy something like this. The golf cart now has a nice home. Here are some pics:
