this is a cable to hook an iphone to the data port in obd2 vehicles. for the code reading capabilities and the ability to clear codes i think it is a good deal. it also has the ability to read real time vehicle data and will even charge your phone. from what i have read it seems to get decent reviews and retails for under 100.00. the app is free and the adapter cable is apple approved. just looking for some more input before i make a purchase.

I bought something similar when I had an Audi TT (long story, but it was constantly throwing codes and the dealer couldn't seem to find the vacuum leak that was causing it). The one I had used a Compaq Ipaq with a cable and some inexpensive software called VAG-check:

It worked great. I still have it and don't need it, if anyone is interested.

no real concerns, for under a hundo its worth a shot. was curious to see if anyone had any experience with the product. kind of cool that my phone has this capability. i guess ill pull the trigger and let you guys know how it goes.
