What's wrong with the 1250? I'd think that with the front end sitting in an oil bath and the back end getting lubed daily, it would last darn near forever....
Nothing wrong with the 1250. In my experience twin hammer vs pin clutch has taken more abuse and held up longer. Someday I will take mine apart and repair it if it can be rebuilt affordably.

If I grab an Air Impact it's usually this one.

Mine is 3/8in but same available in 1/2in.
I also have an old MAC branded IR 231 1/2in but why not go lighter and stronger.
I have a few others and a butterfly 3/8in... variety of ratchets too.
But the Nano in 3/8 is the most used.

Flood that old impact with WD40, Spin it and keep flooding it till it bleeds clean. I bet you get new life out of it for pennies. Use some tool oil after. I had an old gun lock up from sitting for ages. WD got it back and didn't need to take apart.
I like that. I am putting this on my "Tools" wishlist on amazon for later.

Love my IR 2135QXPA. Gobs of torque and super quiet.
Just ordered one to back up my Dewalt battery mid torque DCF894. The mid torque could not take off some lug nuts on the PU, 140 fts lb., used a 24 inch breaker bar. I should be covered now with the new IR2135ZXPA.

I have a 25 yr old CP 1/2” air impact
It’s getting tired
The FIRST thing you do is look at the screen behind the air inlet fitting.

I had a Snappy IM510B. Bought it used, worked it hard professionally for almost a decade. As ancient and well-used as it was, it was still the only 1/2" air impact in the shop that could properly tighten the large Air Conditioning pipe jam-nuts. Even the brand-new "Company supplied" CP and IR impact wrenches could not do this. Put that impact wrench into "hobby" use after that for another decade or more. And one day I'm trying to remove a seized O2 sensor, and my trusty ol' 510B wouldn't spin it out.

I was in a hurry. I call The Snap-On Man, meet him at his next stop. Bought a brand-new MG725. I get home, and decide to transfer the whip hose from the '510B to the '725. Whip hose comes off...and I get to thinking that I've never in ~25 years (maybe more) pulled out the air inlet fitting to look at the screen.

Screen was 1/3 plugged with debris.

Cleaned the screen, put the whip hose right back on the '510. All the power came back. The MG725 went out-of-warranty having been used only a couple of times.

I guess that air motor vanes and such wear out. They seem to sell a lot of "rebuild kits" for air tools. I've never bought one. I've never replaced vanes. I oil my air tools, supply them with air that doesn't include water, and they last "forever".
